Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication success in an educational setting near Rochester, NY. This role is tailored for a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a commitment to making a positive impact in the school environment. Offering a .6 FTE position, there is also flexibility for full-time professionals eager to lend their expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments for students across all grade levels
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, faculty, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services, utilizing evidence-based practices
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case notes and progress reports
  • Provide consultation and resources to teachers and staff to support students’ academic and social success
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and student support initiatives
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning atmosphere

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current SLP license or eligibility for state licensure in New York
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous experience working within a school setting is advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach
  • Organizational skills and commitment to maintaining documentation
  • Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs

This contract begins September 1, 2026, and runs through June 27, 2027, providing a fantastic opportunity to engage with students and help them reach their fullest potential throughout the school year. Flexible scheduling is available, with openness to both part-time and full-time applicants.
