Step into a rewarding contract role supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant! This position focuses on providing dedicated care to an elementary school caseload (TK-5) during a maternity leave coverage, running from October 15th through February 4th. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact while collaborating with an experienced and supportive supervising SLP via telepractice.

Your expertise will ensure students receive high-quality speech and language services in a welcoming educational setting. Before final placement, you’ll have a chance to connect directly with the supervising SLP to ensure a strong working partnership.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Active California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license required
  • Minimum of 3 months of hands-on SLPA experience in any setting
  • Experience with elementary-aged students is beneficial
  • Spanish-English bilingual skills are a plus, though not mandatory
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a school environment
  • Commitment to supporting students’ communication and academic success

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement therapy activities and interventions as directed by the supervising SLP
  • Work closely with teachers and school staff to support student growth
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation for all assigned students
  • Adapt to both in-person and remote supervision, utilizing digital tools when needed
  • Engage students with creative and compassionate support
