Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a school psychologist in a rewarding educational environment near Akron, NY. This full-time position covers a district-wide assignment, working closely with a student body of 720—150 of whom have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The district is eager to welcome a dedicated professional who is ready to start as soon as possible and can provide valuable support during the summer months ahead of the new school year starting on September 2nd.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience in a school setting serving K-12 populations
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education requirements
  • Proven skills in assessment, counseling, and consultation
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students referred for special education services
  • Support the development and implementation of IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Consult with teachers and school staff to promote positive student outcomes
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students as needed
  • Participate in school-based teams to address student progress and behavioral concerns
  • Engage with parents to offer guidance and support related to student needs
