Key Qualifications:

• Current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
• Prior experience working in a school setting, preferably with middle school students
• Strong skills in counseling, crisis intervention, and conflict de-escalation
• Proficient in conducting psychological evaluations and re-evaluations
• Familiarity with chairing Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling and mental health support for middle school students
• Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations for special education eligibility
• Chair and facilitate CSE meetings, ensuring compliance with relevant procedures
• Respond to crisis situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other school professionals to create and implement individualized plans for students
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, meetings, and interventions
