Job Description

Step into a dynamic educational setting and make a positive impact by assisting students as a vital support in school-based speech therapy services. This full-time contract opportunity runs onsite from ASAP through May 25th, 2027, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (8:00am – 4:30pm, about 37.5 hours per week). You’ll have the chance to work closely with an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist while managing a caseload of approximately 85 students.

Key Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent
  • Valid state licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Previous experience in a school setting supporting speech services, preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to follow direction from supervising SLP and maintain documentation
  • Comfort working onsite with diverse student populations

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech therapy services to students as outlined in individualized plans, under the supervision of a supervising SLP
  • Assist with preparing therapy materials and resources
  • Document student progress and data during sessions in compliance with district and state requirements
  • Support IEP implementation and participate in team meetings or consults as needed
  • Communicate effectively with teachers and staff regarding student needs and support strategies
  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive environment for students
