Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, making a direct impact in the lives of students and helping them unlock their full potential. Providing services in a supportive educational environment near Tacoma, WA, you’ll collaborate with staff and families to ensure every child’s voice can be heard and understood.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous school-based experience preferred, but strong clinical skills and a passion for pediatric care are equally valued
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Dedication to evidence-based practice and continuing professional growth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized IEPs in collaboration with teachers, parents, and special education teams
  • Provide direct therapy sessions (individual and group) to students with diverse needs
  • Engage in progress monitoring and adjust interventions as needed
  • Stay current with IDEA, local regulations, and best practices in school-based therapy
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and school-based multidisciplinary teams
  • Serve as a resource for staff and families to build supportive communication strategies
