Make a difference supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) during an exciting maternity leave assignment. This full-time, contract opportunity offers hands-on experience working with a TK-5th grade caseload in a collaborative and supportive environment. You’ll be supervised by an experienced SLP using teletherapy, ensuring mentorship and strong professional guidance. Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active California SLPA license
• Minimum of three months’ experience as an SLPA
• Comfortable supporting elementary students (TK-5th grade)
• Bilingual Spanish skills are a bonus, though not mandatory
• Open-minded and eager to work with virtual supervision

What You’ll Do:

• Provide direct support to students under SLP supervision
• Implement speech and language therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
• Accurately document session activities, progress, and outcomes
• Participate in virtual team meetings and consult with your supervising SLP for seamless collaboration
• Foster positive relationships with staff, students, and families to encourage student success

Assignment details:

• Full-time schedule, covering October 15 through February 4 as a maternity leave replacement
• Elementary (TK-5) caseload in a welcoming school environment
• Work closely with a dedicated SLP who’s passionate about mentorship
