Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a skilled and compassionate school psychologist. Just outside the North Providence area, you’ll play a key role in fostering student development while benefiting from a highly supportive environment and professional growth opportunities. This assignment starts ASAP and extends through mid-July, offering a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Rhode Island Psychologist credential required (RI Psych)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to evolving student needs and caseload
  • Positive, solutions-focused approach to supporting diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results to help guide student interventions
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators on effective strategies for learning and behavior challenges
  • Develop and help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students as needed
  • Provide direct counseling or intervention services to students individually and in small groups
  • Help foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive school culture
  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation and progress monitoring
