School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Asheboro, North Carolina

Support students’ communication needs and make a meaningful impact in education as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis. This position offers an opportunity to help students enhance their communication abilities and academic success within a supportive school environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Active state licensure as an SLP (or eligibility)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but CFY candidates will be considered
• Previous experience working with school-age children strongly desired
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and hearing screenings and assessments for students
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
• Provide direct and consultative therapy services for students with a range of communication needs
• Document student progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Educate staff and caregivers on supporting students’ speech and language development
• Stay current with best practices and compliance requirements in school-based speech therapy
