Soliant is seeking two Travel Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs) to join a collaborative school district in San Antonio, Texas for the full 2026–2027 school year. Position Details

• Location: San Antonio, TX
• Openings: 2
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract
• Schedule: Full-Time
• Contract Length: Full 2026–2027 School Year
• Caseload: District-wide, assigned by high school clusters

Responsibilities

• Provide direct vision instruction and support to students with visual impairments
• Deliver indirect services, including:
  • Consultation with teachers and school staff
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Preparation and adaptation of instructional materials
• Conduct evaluations, including:
  • Functional Vision Evaluations (FVE)
  • Learning Media Assessments (LMA)
  • Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Assessments
• Attend and participate in ARD meetings
• Travel between school sites as needed (travel time may be billable based on district guidelines)

Qualifications

• Active Texas TVI certification or eligibility to obtain certification before the start of the assignment
• Previous school-based experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to travel throughout the district
