Host or Hostess

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude
• Manage guest seating and table rotations efficiently
• Maintain accurate wait times and communicate them effectively
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist guests with inquiries
• Assist with online and takeout orders
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and lobby area
• Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure smooth guest flow
• Help manage reservations and large parties
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them back
• Assist with light side work and dining room support as needed
• Promote current specials, loyalty programs, and restaurant events

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred but not required
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Team-oriented mindset
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Comfortable using POS systems, waitlist software, and tablets
