Property & Casualty Customer Service Rep

This opening is for a Property & Casualty Insurance Customer Service Rep. position that requires a high degree of insurance knowledge. New business production is another essential function of this position, as well as the performance of many secondary tasks that are related to customer service and sales.

· Direct customer contact and service.

· Hybrid of office & work at home opportunities.

· New Business- market, quote, submit and follow-up on progress and issuance through Agency marketing programs, customer referral, walk-in or phone in request, and direct prospecting.

· Rewrite non-renewals and cancellations.

· Endorsements- quote, submit and/or following-up on progress and issuance.

· Claims- receive and process claims reports, submit loss notice to company and follow-up with company and customer.

· Book rollovers- quote, submit and/or following-up on progress and issuance.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Candidate must have a minimum of five years’ experience in an insurance agency environment as a Property & Casualty CSR.
• Must possess a current valid NYS Agent’s PC or BR license.
• Must have extensive working knowledge of agency management systems- HawkSoft a big plus.
• Must be proficient in the application of all Microsoft Office programs.
• Must exhibit the temperament and skill to provide quality, courteous and prompt customer service and customer satisfaction.
• Must possess the awareness and the marketing skills to turn customer service opportunities into sales opportunities.
• Must be able to work independently but also work well with team members.
