Job Overview

Gillmann Services is hiring an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent in Columbus, Ohio.

We are looking for a hands-on construction leader who can take charge of jobsite operations from the beginning of a project through final completion. The ideal candidate knows how to manage subcontractors, coordinate crews and materials, enforce safety standards, and keep projects moving on schedule.

Pay

$120,000–$140,000 per year, based on experience.

What You Will Do

  • Lead all onsite construction activities from mobilization through final completion.
  • Serve as the primary onsite representative for Gillmann Services.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, manpower, equipment, materials, and deliveries.
  • Manage daily jobsite activities and keep the project on schedule.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, subcontractors, and trade partners.
  • Monitor workmanship, productivity, materials, and jobsite progress.
  • Identify and resolve jobsite issues quickly.
  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Conduct regular toolbox talks and job hazard analyses (JHAs).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
  • Communicate project updates, schedule issues, and jobsite concerns to the project management team.
  • Help ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and according to plans and specifications.

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or Field Leader.
  • Strong commercial construction experience.
  • Proven ability to lead subcontractors and onsite construction crews.
  • Strong understanding of construction schedules, drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions in the field.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
