School Behavior Specialist in Chester, PA

Step into a pivotal role impacting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a supportive K-12 school environment. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity is perfect for a credentialed ABA therapist or Behavior Specialist ready to work closely with staff and students from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027. With a single opening and 35 hours per week, you'll have the chance to foster positive change across the district.

Key Responsibilities:

• Train new staff on best instructional practices for students with Autism
• Deliver targeted behavior plan training for all staff members
• Offer refresher sessions on evolving practices and district procedures
• Establish and support the development of Verbal Repertoires for students
• Model and reinforce evidence-based techniques within classrooms
• Guide Year 1 teams through scheduling, assessment, and other logistics
• Facilitate comprehensive IEP, BIP, and documentation reviews for all building staff
• Maintain high visibility and accessibility during the crucial start-of-year period
• Collaborate with consultants to align practices district-wide
• Conduct in-vivo classroom coaching to ensure effective strategy implementation
• Lead the transfer of skills from anchor to other autism support classrooms
• Monitor and provide feedback to ensure fidelity of individualized student programs
• Participate in all onsite consultations or designate a qualified representative when needed

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Pennsylvania certification in Special Education or a related field
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices supporting students with ASD
• Prior experience in autism support or special education settings
• Completion of all necessary PA clearances
• Experience working within schools, particularly urban environments
• Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite between 7:15AM-4PM with no schedule adjustments
• Comfort with the district environment and student population
