As a Substitute Teacher, you will provide classroom coverage when the regular teacher is unavailable, ensuring students continue to receive a safe, structured, and engaging learning experience.

Responsibilities
- Follow lesson plans and classroom instructions provided by the regular teacher.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
- Supervise and engage students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, recess, and other school settings.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
- Manage classroom behavior while encouraging participation and student success.
- Take attendance and provide updates or notes regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- For long-term assignments, assist with lesson planning and classroom instruction.
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania Type 06 (Day-to-Day Emergency Permit) or Type 04 (Long-Term Emergency Permit) required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead and support students of various ages.
- Strong classroom management and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to different classroom environments.
- General knowledge of multiple academic subjects.
- Must complete fingerprinting through the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
