ELA Teacher in Donaldsonville, LA

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Louisiana teaching license/certification with all required endorsements
• Experience or background in General Education, specifically ELA (English Language Arts)
• Prior experience supporting non-native English speakers is highly valued
• In-depth understanding of language acquisition, differentiated instruction, and culturally responsive teaching
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans focused on reading, writing, listening, and speaking for English Language Learners
• Employ assessment strategies to measure and support student progress
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere that respects diversity and individual backgrounds
• Collaborate with school personnel and families to create individualized support plans for students as needed
• Maintain accurate records and provide timely updates on student achievements and growth

This is a full-time onsite position, averaging 37.5 hours per week, starting as soon as possible and continuing through May 25, 2027.
