Educational Diagnostician Special Education Teacher - Prairieville, LA

The assignment begins August 18, 2026, and continues through May 24, 2027, with a flexible schedule of 29 hours per week.

You’ll serve as a key member of a preschool evaluation team, reviewing and assessing the needs of students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Your expertise will help tailor educational approaches, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to thrive. You may be assigned to multiple schools, with specific details determined as the school year approaches.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Louisiana Department of Education Educational Diagnostician Certification
• Experience working with K-12 or preschool evaluation teams strongly preferred
• Prior background in special education assessment or diagnostic services in a school setting
• Familiarity with district-specific credentialing, including successful completion of background checks and fingerprinting
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct educational evaluations, interpret results, and support the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, administrators, and families to promote optimal learning outcomes
• Participate as an active member of multidisciplinary teams, sharing expertise in educational diagnostics
• Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district and state regulations
• Provide consultative support to staff to enhance educational practices and interventions
