School-Based Physical Therapist - Turbeville, South Carolina

This contract opportunity offers the chance to work onsite across multiple schools near Turbeville, SC, providing much-needed physical therapy services as an itinerant team member.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Physical Therapist license in South Carolina
• Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations highly preferred
• Ability to independently manage a caseload across multiple locations
• Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff
• Flexibility to adapt to different school environments and student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify student motor and physical challenges
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in line with IEP goals
• Provide direct physical therapy services and document progress
• Collaborate with educators, school teams, and families regarding student care
• Attend IEP meetings, provide recommendations, and help track outcomes
• Travel between assigned school sites within the district as required
• Ensure compliance with all state and district guidelines

This position is contract-based, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through May 24, 2027, with full-time hours (37.5 per week). You'll support students at various educational levels, helping them achieve greater independence and success in their school day.
