Make a meaningful impact in a well-supported school environment while serving K-12 students with diverse communication needs. This contract opportunity begins August 26, 2026, and extends through June 11, 2027, offering either full-time (37.5 hours weekly) or part-time flexibility to suit your schedule. The district is known for its collaborative spirit and provides robust resources for its providers.

In this onsite role, you’ll serve spot-fill needs, including working with a self-contained high school class (moderate to severe needs) and providing itinerant services across multiple school locations. Your expertise as an SLP-CCC will support students in achieving their communication goals and ensure compliance with IEPs.

Qualifications:

  • Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Previous experience in Maryland schools or similar K-12 settings preferred
  • Ability to effectively serve a varied caseload, including moderate to severe disabilities
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Reliable transportation for travel between multiple school sites

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate student speech, language, and communication skills for appropriate intervention
  • Develop, implement, and update IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide direct therapy for students with a range of speech and language disorders
  • Consult with teachers, families, and school staff to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and timely reports per district and state guidelines
