Make a meaningful impact by supporting students in a school setting as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired. This contract position, starting as soon as possible, is focused exclusively on evaluations. With one opening available, you’ll play a vital role in assisting with functional vision and media assessments and conducting insightful classroom observations. The assignment is school-based and not virtual, ensuring hands-on engagement with students and educational teams.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois teaching license and certification required
  • CTE (Career and Technical Education) endorsement necessary
  • Demonstrated school-based experience, specifically with visually impaired students
  • Skilled in conducting functional vision and media assessments
  • Comfortable performing classroom observations
  • Strong communication and reporting abilities
  • Must be available for a 30-minute interview
  • This opportunity is not available for virtual/remote participation

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the evaluation process by conducting thorough functional vision assessments
