Key Qualifications:

  • Proficient in American Sign Language interpreting, specifically for school settings.
  • EIPA score of 4.0 (and written), with listing on the Louisiana Interpreter Registry (LCDC), RID and NIC accepted if written portion is completed.
  • Ability to pass district-specific fingerprinting and drug screening.
  • Previous experience with high school-aged students strongly preferred.
  • Flexibility for full-time scheduling and assigned caseloads.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct interpreting services for high school students.
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment by supporting clear communication between students, teachers, and staff.
  • Collaborate with educational teams and participate in school-wide meetings as needed.
