Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students’ communication development at a school near Victorville, CA. This opportunity is perfect for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) who enjoys working in educational settings and making a difference in children’s lives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current California SLP license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in a school environment is highly desirable
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and educational staff

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, diagnose communication and speech disorders, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Provide direct intervention services, both individual and group, to address a variety of speech and language challenges
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, aides, and other educational professionals to support student goals and ensure effective service delivery
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
  • Guide and educate families and guardians regarding student progress, needs, and follow-up activities
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development as needed
