Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting K-12 students across multiple school sites near Prairieville, LA. This role focuses on school psychology services, emphasizing discipline requests, and is instrumental in supporting students' academic and emotional development from August 18, 2026, through May 24, 2027. You’ll work approximately 29 hours per week alongside multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate as a valued member of a multidisciplinary team to assess and identify the educational needs of students
  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, providing detailed written reports within required timeframes
  • Offer direct support and information to students and families, including referrals to community resources
  • Engage regularly with educators, administrators, and parents, explaining evaluation results and recommending intervention strategies
  • Maintain meticulous records to ensure continuity of services and uphold program accountability
  • Attend and contribute to in-service training and team planning sessions
  • Interpret assessment results and help plan targeted support programs for individual student success

Ideal Background:

  • NASP certification or LSSP from the Louisiana State Board of Examiners and Psychologists
  • Experience interpreting assessment data and preparing comprehensive evaluation reports
  • Strong familiarity with special education eligibility criteria, IDEA compliance, and multidisciplinary processes
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to consistently meet evaluation deadlines
  • Collaborative spirit and experience working with a range of school professionals
