Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Newark, NJ

Embark on a rewarding school-based contract opportunity near Newark, NJ, providing dedicated care as a licensed nurse in an educational environment. This full-time role runs from September 4th through June 25th, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:15AM to 3:15PM, totaling 35 hours weekly. You will provide focused 1:1 support to a student, while also being adaptable and ready to assist throughout the school as needed.

Key Requirements:

• Valid School Nursing NJ licensure (LPN/LVN)
• Prior experience working in school settings
• Confident overseeing care in school buildings and carrying a caseload
• Ability to adapt to district procedures and requirements
• Willingness to complete onboarding steps: TB test, physical exam, agency and district fingerprinting
• Reliable transportation for punctual and consistent attendance
• Commuting distance must be manageable

Daily Duties:

• Deliver 1:1 nursing care to a student as directed
• Respond to immediate health needs throughout the school
• Support the health, safety, and well-being of all students and staff
• Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation
• Contribute to a responsive, positive school environment
