Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a qualified teacher for the visually impaired. This contract position, conveniently located near Peabody, MA, offers you the chance to support students’ educational journeys within an inclusive school setting. The position runs from September 1, 2026, through June 14, 2027, with both full-time and part-time options available onsite.

Key Qualifications:

  • Possess an active Teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI) license and Massachusetts DOE licensure
  • Successfully completed required MTELs
  • Strong communication abilities and adaptability in collaborative educational environments
  • Compassion and dedication to fostering the success of students with visual impairments

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to students with visual impairments, adapting materials and curriculum as needed
  • Assess, document, and report on student progress and individual education plan (IEP) goals
  • Collaborate closely with fellow teachers, support staff, and families to create an accessible classroom experience
  • Advocate for students’ needs and provide guidance on adaptive technology and accessible resources
