Bring your expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired to a vibrant educational setting near Lawrence, MA, supporting students in an onsite role for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract assignment offers either full-time or part-time scheduling, giving you flexibility to balance your professional and personal life while making a real difference in student outcomes.

What we’re looking for:

  • Valid Visually Impaired Teacher License and Massachusetts DOE License
  • Successful completion of MTELs (Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure)
  • Background teaching or supporting students with visual impairments in a school setting
  • Proactive communication skills to collaborate with general and special education staff, families, and related service providers
  • Commitment to fostering an accessible, inclusive educational environment for all students

Your daily impact will include:

  • Developing and implementing individualized educational programs adapted for students who are visually impaired
  • Providing direct specialized instruction and consultation tailored to students’ needs, ensuring full participation in academic and extracurricular activities
  • Advising classroom teachers and staff on accommodating materials, methods, and technologies for visually impaired learners
  • Collaborating regularly with interdisciplinary educational teams and families, offering training and resources as needed
  • Conducting ongoing assessments to monitor progress and adjusting strategies as required

This is an onsite-only position from September 1, 2026, through June 14, 2027, and is available on either a full-time or part-time basis.
