We are seeking a reliable and organized Staffing Coordinator to manage daily staffing needs for our Skilled Nursing Facility. This role is responsible for coordinating schedules, ensuring adequate staffing coverage for all shifts, and maintaining compliance with staffing regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and communicates effectively with nursing staff and leadership.


Full-Time

Pay: $25-$30 Hr.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain daily and weekly staffing schedules for nursing and support staff

  • Ensure adequate coverage for all shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

  • Monitor staffing levels to meet state and facility staffing requirements

  • Communicate with nursing staff to fill open shifts and arrange replacements for call-outs

  • Manage shift swaps, schedule adjustments, and overtime in accordance with facility policies

  • Maintain accurate staffing records and attendance tracking

  • Work closely with the Director of Nursing and unit managers to anticipate staffing needs

  • Utilize scheduling software and timekeeping systems to update and track staffing information

  • Assist with onboarding schedules for new hires and orientation shifts

  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with staff while supporting operational needs

  • Respond to staffing emergencies and coordinate last-minute coverage when needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred

  • Previous staffing, scheduling, or administrative experience in healthcare preferred

  • Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care setting strongly preferred

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle staffing challenges effectively

  • Proficiency with scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and timekeeping systems

  • Knowledge of healthcare staffing ratios and regulations is a plus

Schedule

  • Full-time position

  • May require occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, or on-call coverage to address staffing needs
