Senior Welder
2nd shift 5:30pm to 5:30am
$28.00 to $32.00 DOE $3/hr. shift difference
Minimum 3 years of related welding experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Welder performs welding using MIG, TIG, Flux-Cored, Submerged Arc (Sub-Arc), and/or Stick welding processes and must be qualified in at least three applicable processes. Welding on brackets, braces, pipe, flanges, structural components, vessels, and related materials. Workpieces are positioned and secured using jigs, fixtures, guides, steps, measuring instruments, and hand tools.
Performs position welding on code materials in accordance with applicable specifications and procedures. responsible for producing quality welds that meet applicable X-ray, ultrasonic, and other inspection requirements while maintaining minimal rework.
Requires proficiency with flame and plasma cutting torches, basic cutting equipment, grinders, hand tools, and automated welding equipment.
Must successfully complete required welding qualification tests and Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) requirements.
Physical work, including the safe operation and handling of heavy welding tools and equipment. Forklift operation may be required on an occasional basis when properly trained and authorized.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Completion of welding school, trade school, apprenticeship, or other formal welding training is also preferred.
Must have knowledge of different types and sizes of pipes, structural materials, and vessel materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding drawings, specifications and fit up pipe, flanges, and related components with minimal supervision
Must be able to pass the required welding qualification tests, including a 3G test for vessel or tower welding or a 6G test for pipe welding. The employee must also be capable of passing applicable NDE and weld inspection requirements.
Preferred Training and Certifications
Certification to weld on pipe and/or plate is preferred.
Additional welding process qualifications and related technical training are highly desirable. Forklift certification is preferred when forklift operation is required
Must be capable of performing physical work that includes frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and working in various positions.
Operate and handle heavy welding tools, cutting equipment, grinders, and related equipment. Forklift operation may be required occasionally.
Drug test and Background check will be required.
