Physical Therapist Assistant

Role Description The Physical Therapist Assistant will work full time on-site in Miami, FL, supporting licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, and using appropriate modalities under the direction of the Physical Therapist. The role involves monitoring patient progress, documenting treatments and responses, and communicating observations to the care team for ongoing plan adjustments. The Physical Therapist Assistant will educate patients and families about exercises, safety, and home programs, while promoting a safe, inclusive, and respectful clinical environment. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and adherence to regulatory and ethical standards are essential parts of this role.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, including implementing treatment plans and assisting with therapeutic exercises.
• Strong Patient Care and Quality Patient Care skills, with a focus on safety, comfort, and clear communication.
• Experience or coursework in Orthopedics, including musculoskeletal conditions, post-operative care, and functional mobility training.
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Florida or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team and follow clinical directions accurately.
• Effective documentation, time management, and organizational skills in a clinical setting.
• CPR/BLS certification and familiarity with infection control and patient safety protocols.
