Front Desk Assistant

You're the first face our guests see when they walk through the door. The voice they hear when they call. The reason their visit feels effortless before their appointment even begins. At Erie's only waterfront spa, the front desk isn't a waiting room, it's where the experience starts.

We're looking for someone who genuinely likes people. Who lights up when a regular walks in. Who knows how to make a first-time guest feel like they've been coming here for years.

The Schedule

Our core hours for this role are:

• Mondays: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Fridays: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Sundays: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM (currently every other Sunday, with potential to expand)

There is also opportunity to pick up additional shifts — including morning and daytime hours — as needs arise.

What You'll Do

Welcome every guest like they matter - because they do. The rest flows from there:

• Greet clients warmly at check-in and check-out, making every interaction feel personal
• Manage appointments, bookings, and our waitlist through our scheduling platform
• Answer calls, return voicemails, texts, and emails promptly and professionally
• Share information about services, packages, and retail products naturally - no hard sell, just genuine conversation
• Keep the reception and retail area calm, clean, organized and welcoming
• Process payments accurately and maintain daily records
• Support our practitioners so their day runs smoothly
• Handle the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep a spa flowing: supplies, toiletries, and keeping things organized

What We're Looking For

• A genuine people person: warm, friendly and comfortable striking up conversation
• Reliable and detail-oriented: you follow through and take pride in doing things right
• Comfortable with technology: scheduling systems, POS, phones, email (we will train you on our platforms)
• Cool under pressure: a busy Saturday does not rattle you
• Professional & trustworthy: we handle sensitive client information

Bonus points for:

• Experience in hospitality, healthcare, wellness, or any customer-facing role
• A natural ease talking about services and making recommendations

• $8–$12/hr based on experience + commission on retail sales
