Take your expertise in school psychology to the next level in a vital role supporting students in the Promising Students Program. This contract opportunity is focused on providing behavioral and mental health services to students with significant social, emotional, and behavioral needs. You will engage in trauma-informed, data-driven practices that help students overcome obstacles, improve emotional regulation, and develop essential problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology
  • Valid certification as a School Psychologist
  • Proven experience in behavioral and mental health counseling within a school setting
  • Strong background in trauma-informed practices
  • Skilled in conducting psychoeducational and behavioral evaluations
  • Familiarity with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Knowledge of MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports)
  • Ability to effectively consult with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience participating in IEP and Section 504 processes
  • Crisis response and safety planning expertise

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group counseling tailored to intensive student needs
  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and behavioral assessments
  • Complete FBAs and assist with the creation and monitoring of BIPs
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of MTSS interventions
  • Offer consultation and collaboration with educators and families
  • Participate actively in IEP and Section 504 meetings
  • Assist in crisis intervention and develop safety plans as needed
  • Create transition plans ensuring successful reintegration to students’ home schools
