Job Overview

Station Medical is seeking a professional, energetic, organized, and dependable Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our growing primary care and wellness practice.

The Front Desk Receptionist is often the first point of contact for our patients and plays an essential role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and professional experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and strong customer service skills in a fast-paced medical office.

Fluency in both Spanish and English is REQUIRED for this position. Applicants must be comfortable speaking Spanish with patients in person and over the phone. The ability to communicate clearly and professionally in Spanish is essential due to the needs of our patient population.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients in a professional, friendly, and welcoming manner
  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls and patient inquiries
  • Communicate with patients fluently in both Spanish and English
  • Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments
  • Assist with patient registration and ensure demographic and insurance information is accurate
  • Verify insurance information and assist with eligibility and referral-related tasks as needed
  • Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments
  • Maintain accurate patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Assist patients with forms, medical record requests, and general office questions
  • Communicate patient messages to providers and clinical staff appropriately
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements at all times
  • Perform scanning, filing, faxing, data entry, and other administrative duties
  • Help maintain an organized and efficient front desk and reception area
  • Assist with office projects and other administrative responsibilities as assigned
  • Work collaboratively with providers, clinical staff, and management to support smooth daily office operations

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in Spanish and English – REQUIRED
  • Must be able to confidently communicate with Spanish-speaking patients both in person and over the phone
  • Previous medical office, healthcare, receptionist, or front desk experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Professional and courteous phone etiquette
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy medical office
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional
  • Comfortable handling confidential patient information
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a healthcare team
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) and insurance verification is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets, and general office software is preferred
