Join our global team as an online teacher for JH Physical Science 8 and step into a vibrant, live online classroom where you’ll be introducing junior high students to the foundations of physics and chemistry through hands-on, inquiry-based learning. You’ll teach motivated students from around the world in real time, supported by CGA’s technology, curriculum and community.

Class times (PST) — we are hiring for 4 classes:

• Mondays & Wednesdays, 12:00 AM

• Tuesdays & Thursdays, 10:00 AM

• Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3:00 PM

• Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality live lessons in JH Physical Science 8, tailored to the needs of a diverse, international group of students.

• Use a range of teaching strategies and digital tools to create an interactive and supportive online classroom.

• Assess student progress, provide targeted feedback, and adapt your teaching to ensure strong learning outcomes for every student.

• Plan and communicate clear course schedules, detailing lesson content and assessment timelines.

• Lead professional, interactive live sessions, making full use of CGA’s online learning resources and technology.

• Set meaningful homework, design and administer assessments, and give constructive feedback that encourages student growth.

• Develop high-quality educational materials, including tests and exams, contributing to CGA’s rich resource library.

• Manage your online classroom on Canvas, keeping it well organised with assignments and assessments for easy student access.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience at middle / junior high school (Grades 6–8) in a school setting (please note that, while valuable, tutoring experience cannot be counted towards this requirement).

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Physical Science or related field.

• Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and the CGA team.

• Familiarity with online teaching platforms and a passion for innovative, technology-enabled education.

• Knowledge of a US middle school / junior high curriculum and age-appropriate teaching approaches.

Preferred Qualifications

• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. a postgraduate certificate in education, a teaching degree, or a teaching license).

• Previous online teaching experience.
