Please apply here:https://albiacsd.mysmarthire.com/jobs/26879-5879.html A Junior High (JH) Wrestling Coach instructs middle school athletes in fundamental techniques, rules, and safety protocols, fostering a positive, disciplined environment while prioritizing skill development and sportsmanship. They plan practices, manage equipment, monitor academic eligibility, and coach during competitions. Key ResponsibilitiesInstruction: Teach basic and fundamental wrestling techniques, moves, and match strategies suitable for young athletes.Practice Management: Develop and implement safe, effective practice plans, including conditioning and strength training.Competition Management: Supervise athletes during meets, guide team strategy, and promote sportsmanship.Safety & Welfare: Ensure athlete safety, monitor for injuries, and follow proper medical procedures.Administrative Duties: Maintain inventory of equipment, uniforms, and mats, and coordinate schedules with the athletic director.Mentorship: Monitor student-athlete academic performance, foster self-discipline, and promote a positive, competitive team environment. QualificationsPrevious experience in coaching or competing in wrestling (preferred).Strong knowledge of wrestling rules and safety guidelines.Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).Strong communication and organizational skills. Key Performance IndicatorsSafe, well-organized practices and competitions.Improved wrestler skills and knowledge of the sport.High standards of conduct and academic compliance.
