Bring your expertise in Audiology to an impactful contract position supporting students in a thriving educational environment near Shawnee, KS. This full-time opportunity (flexible options available) extends through May 2027, providing you with a chance to collaborate with a dedicated team and positively impact students within the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) population, ranging from Pre-K through 12th grade. As part of this role, you may support multiple school sites and play an integral part in developing and delivering effective audiological services.

Your primary focus will be on assessing student needs, generating comprehensive reports, and offering consultations to educational staff. You’ll enjoy frequent opportunities to collaborate, provide expert input, and elevate supports for students requiring specialized audiological attention. The initial caseload includes nine Pre-K students, with additional numbers shared during the interview process.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active professional state licensure to practice audiology in Kansas
  • Valid state credential from the Kansas Board of Hearing Aid Examiners (or appropriate credentialing body)
  • Master’s or doctoral degree in audiology
  • Experience supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing is highly valued
  • Strong skills in generating audiology reports and communicating findings clearly
  • Flexibility to serve multiple campuses, as needed

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting audiological assessments for students Pre-K through 12th grade
  • Prioritizing and supporting the DHH student population
  • Completing detailed reports and sharing actionable feedback with school staff
  • Leading and participating in consultations regarding student needs and intervention strategies
  • Potential travel between schools to deliver services where most needed
