Step into a meaningful role supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade within the DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) population as an audiologist in the Kansas City area. This full-time contract position runs until May 2027 and offers an exciting opportunity to travel across multiple campuses, making a direct impact on students’ lives. Candidates able to offer slightly fewer hours are also encouraged to share their availability.

Your expertise will be key in delivering audiology reports, providing consultation and feedback to school staff, and ensuring students receive the best possible support. With a caseload that evolves during the assignment, your ability to adapt and collaborate will be highly valued. Initial assignments include nine Pre-K students, with additional caseload details discussed during the interview process.

To be considered for this dynamic position, the following qualifications are required:

  • Active professional state license to practice audiology in Kansas
  • Current credential from the Kansas Board of Hearing Aid Examiners or equivalent state authority
  • Master's or doctoral degree in audiology
  • Experience or interest in working with students in the DHH population strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel between multiple school sites as needed
  • Strong interpersonal and consultation skills, with comfort providing regular feedback to diverse school staff

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting audiological evaluations and compiling clear, actionable reports
  • Providing ongoing support and consultation to educators and staff working with DHH students
  • Advising on accommodations, hearing technology, and best practices for accessibility
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and student assessments
