What we’re seeking:

• Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Relevant credentialing: EIPA score of 4.0 (with written), listed on the Louisiana Interpreter Registry; RID or NIC also accepted (but must have the written)
• Prior experience with VOCO interpreting required
• Experience providing interpretation services for high school-aged individuals
• Ability to manage a flexible caseload and adapt to multiple school assignments (exact number of schools and caseload to be determined)
• Professionalism and adaptability within diverse educational environments

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing accurate sign language interpretation for students, educators, and staff in classroom and school-related settings
• Supporting high school students in accessing curriculum, extracurriculars, and campus communication
• Collaborating with faculty, families, and support staff to support individual student needs
• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Meeting all time-sensitive compliance and credentialing requirements as outlined by the district
