Job Description

Exciting contract opportunity for an experienced Audiologist to make an immediate impact supporting the DHH student population in a dynamic school setting near Overland Park, KS. This full-time assignment runs through May 2027, with some flexibility for those seeking reduced hours. The role involves working with students from Pre-K through 12th grade—with a current Pre-K caseload of nine students and additional assignments to be discussed during the interview process.

As part of a collaborative special education team, you’ll conduct audiology assessments, prepare detailed reports, participate in IEP meetings, and provide regular feedback and consultation to school staff. Traveling between multiple campuses may be needed, so adaptability and strong organizational skills are essential. The focus is on delivering high-quality audiological services, with a particular emphasis on students in the Deaf or Hard of Hearing program.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Kansas state license to practice audiology
  • Valid professional license issued by the Kansas Board of Hearing Aid Examiners or equivalent credentialing body
  • Master’s or doctoral degree in audiology
  • Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and documentation skills
  • Willingness to support and travel between multiple campuses as needed
  • Commitment to meeting the needs of DHH students

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations for students ages Pre-K through 12
  • Develop and deliver clear audiology reports
  • Participate in meetings, providing actionable feedback to staff and educators
  • Consult regularly with multidisciplinary teams
  • Monitor and document student progress
  • Support compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines

This is your chance to empower students and educators by providing critical audiology services within a welcoming educational environment. If you are ready for a meaningful contract role where your expertise is valued, submit your current resume and active Kansas licensure today and take the next step in your career!
