  • Minimum EIPA score of 4.0, with both performance and written portions required
  • Listed on the Louisiana Interpreter Registry (LCDC Interpreter Registry - Dept. of Health)
  • RID and NIC certifications also accepted (written portion still required)
  • Demonstrated previous VOCO experience
  • Experience supporting high school-aged students is a plus
  • Capacity to complete time-sensitive credentialing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clear and accurate sign language interpretation for high school students
  • Foster effective communication in the classroom and during school-related activities
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to support student learning
  • Adapt interpretation style to meet diverse student needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and other relevant planning sessions as needed
