School Occupational Therapist | Merrimack, New Hampshire

Make a difference in the lives of students by providing occupational therapy services in a dynamic, supportive school setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with both elementary and high school students, helping them develop essential life and academic skills.

You’ll work 31 hours per week, from September 1 to June 15, spending three days at an elementary school and two days at a high school, serving approximately 25 students. The team is seeking a seasoned, confident occupational therapist who can jump right in and make a meaningful impact.

Desired Experience:

• Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Demonstrated experience in schools, working with diverse student populations
• Strong expertise in evaluation, IEP development, and delivery of therapy services
• Solid organizational skills for managing a caseload across multiple campuses
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Ability to tailor interventions for elementary and high school student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine students’ OT needs and strengths
• Develop and implement individualized goals and treatment plans in alignment with IEPs
• Deliver direct and consultative therapy, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory integration, and adaptive strategies
• Document progress and participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Support staff and families with resources and strategies to reinforce student progress
