School Counselor - Ann Arbor, MI

Two full-time positions are available for skilled School Counselors to make a lasting impact in a collaborative educational setting. These contracted roles are set to begin August 31, 2026, and extend through June 4, 2027, working closely with high school students to provide essential academic and developmental support.

In this rewarding capacity, you’ll serve as an academic counselor, helping students identify goals, overcome challenges, and thrive throughout the school year. Your expertise will contribute directly to shaping a positive school climate and student achievement.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Michigan education certificate with a current School Counselor Endorsement (please ensure credentials are up to date and listed in your application)
• Demonstrated experience working with high school students in educational or counseling settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, parents, and staff
• Ability to assess academic challenges and provide appropriate intervention and guidance
• Organizational skills to manage caseloads and maintain comprehensive records

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling to high school students, promoting academic, social, and emotional growth
• Advise students on course selections, graduation requirements, and postsecondary planning
• Collaborate with staff, teachers, and families to ensure each student receives tailored support
• Monitor student progress, academic achievement, and attendance, taking proactive steps to address barriers to success
