Special Education Teacher in Ann Arbor, MI

Key Qualifications:

• Current Michigan teaching certification with Special Education (endorsement required; certification must be provided with application)
• Previous experience with students in special education settings is preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and record-keeping skills

• Commitment to fostering positive student outcomes and working closely with families and team members

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student abilities and goals
• Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
• Provide instruction and support, aligned with required curriculum and best practices in special education
• Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families to ensure student success
• Track student progress and maintain accurate, detailed documentation
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and compliance activities as required
