Key Qualifications:

• Valid Sign Language Interpreter license in the state of North Carolina
• Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Prior experience in educational settings preferred
• Commitment to onsite-only work throughout the scheduled school year
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Professionalism, punctuality, and reliability

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver clear and effective interpretation services to students, staff, and teachers in classroom and school-related environments
• Ensure accurate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, educators, and school personnel
• Maintain ethical standards and uphold confidentiality at all times
• Participate in educational meetings, workshops, and team discussions as required
• Support the academic and social development of assigned students as part of an integrated educational team
