Qualifications:

• Certified as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Previous experience working with students who are visually impaired preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly to diverse school environments and changing caseloads
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
• Willingness to travel between campuses within the district as needed

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to visually impaired students, adapting materials and strategies as appropriate
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure student needs are being met
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives specific to visual impairment
• Monitor student progress and document outcomes in accordance with district and legal guidelines
• Offer consultative support to school teams regarding accessibility, accommodations, and best practices
• Maintain compliance with professional licensing and district standards
