Contributing as part of the Promising Students Program (PSP), you’ll engage in fulfilling, meaningful work alongside dedicated educators, supporting students with the most intensive needs. This assignment will allow you to strengthen your resume with specialized experience in trauma-informed care, early intervention, and data-driven support services.

Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist credential or eligibility
  • Proven experience in behavioral/counseling settings in schools
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and data-driven decision making
  • Experience with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Passion for supporting students with intensive social, emotional, and behavioral needs

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and small-group counseling
  • Conduct psychoeducational and behavioral assessments
  • Complete FBAs and assist with BIPs
  • Advise on and support MTSS implementation
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and families
  • Participate in IEP and Section 504 meetings
  • Contribute to crisis response and safety planning
  • Develop transition plans for students re-entering their home schools
