Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. This full-time, contract opportunity offers the chance to work across elementary and secondary levels within a supportive educational community. You'll play a vital district-wide role, collaborating closely with school teams and receiving para support while providing direct instruction and consultation for students with hearing needs.

Enjoy a varied, collaborative environment where your expertise will support student growth both in person and through virtual/VOCO services. Your work will span multiple schools, allowing you to make connections and witness the progress of students throughout their educational journeys.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Experience working with students ages Pre-K through high school (preferred)
  • Strong skills in creating and implementing individualized educational plans (IEPs) for DHH students
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to work well with paraprofessionals, general education teachers, and families
  • Comfortable delivering instruction both in-person and virtually (VOCO experience is a plus)
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across a district-wide caseload
  • Adapt and implement curriculum and instructional materials based on students’ specific needs
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and families to ensure accommodations are met
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring for IEPs
  • Collaborate with para support to maximize student success
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to DHH education
