Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Union, ME

Empower young learners and inspire positive communication outcomes as a full-time Speech Language Pathologist supporting middle and high school students in a vibrant Maine educational setting. In this contract role, you’ll collaborate with dedicated educators and families to deliver meaningful interventions, helping students succeed academically and socially—whether on-site or through teletherapy.

Qualifications & Preferred Background:

• Active Maine SLP License required
• CCC-SLP certification or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings highly valued
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms considered an asset
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students in middle and high school
• Develop individualized treatment plans addressing a diverse range of needs, from articulation to pragmatic language skills
• Deliver therapy sessions individually and in small groups, both in person and via telepractice
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate communication strategies into the classroom and at home
• Document progress, maintain compliance with federal/state guidelines, and participate in IEP meetings
• Support students' academic achievement and emotional well-being through proactive intervention
