Job Description
We are looking for an Electronic Medical Records Specialist to support accurate and efficient management of patient health information for a healthcare team in Lynn, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract position focuses on maintaining electronic charts, ensuring record integrity, and helping staff access documentation in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with electronic medical record platforms in a medical records environment.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain, review, and organize patient medical files within electronic medical record systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Process requests for chart updates, document retrieval, and record corrections while following established privacy and compliance standards.
• Enter, scan, and index clinical and administrative documentation into patient charts with a high level of attention to detail.
• Support healthcare staff by locating and providing medical record information needed for patient care, audits, and operational needs.
• Monitor record quality by identifying missing, duplicate, or inconsistent information and taking appropriate follow-up action.
• Work within EMR platforms such as Allscripts and Cerner to manage patient information and support day-to-day records activities.
• Assist with record maintenance tasks related to electronic documentation workflows and system-based record organization.
• Help ensure all medical records activities are completed in accordance with healthcare policies, retention guidelines, and confidentiality requirements.• Experience working in medical records, health information management, or a similar records-focused healthcare role.
• Hands-on familiarity with electronic medical record systems and digital patient chart management.
• Working knowledge of patient medical records processes, documentation standards, and confidentiality practices.
• Experience using Allscripts, Cerner, or comparable EMR technologies in a healthcare setting.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high volumes of information accurately.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clinical and administrative teams.
