Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students’ growth as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school-based environment near Olympia, WA. This is a contract role tailored for professionals who are passionate about empowering young learners to reach their fullest potential. Collaborate with educators and families to develop strategies and provide services that promote students’ success across academic and functional skill areas.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license for the state of Washington
  • Prior experience providing therapy services in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
  • Knowledge of IEP processes, special education compliance, and documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and parents
  • Ability to adapt interventions to the needs of individual students

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments to determine students’ strengths and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement interventions for fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ educational goals
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Provide guidance and in-class support to teachers and staff on strategies to enhance student participation
