School Occupational Therapist - Hendersonville, North Carolina

Experience a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners in an educational setting near Hendersonville, NC. This contract position focuses primarily on a Pre K caseload and invites a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide specialized services across multiple school sites. You’ll work with a manageable caseload of 33 students, delivering essential support as an itinerant provider for 1-2 days each week over a 12-week period, with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active state Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school-based setting, especially with Pre K students, highly valued
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with school teams
• Flexible and comfortable traveling between multiple locations
• Committed to in-person, on-site service—no virtual/remote assignments (VOCO)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Occupational Therapy interventions to support students’ development and access to the curriculum
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans for Pre K-aged children
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and family members to optimize service delivery
• Document progress and maintain timely records as required by school policy
• Travel between assigned schools as an itinerant therapist, ensuring high-quality care at each site
